This beautiful property sits on the Auxey Duresses side of the boundary with Meursault - which is just the other side of the wall of the Clos. As its name implies, the property was a mill as well as a winery, and the crystal clear waters of the River Clous run alongside as they have since time immemorial. The 'Clos' is the enclosed vineyard at the forefront of the photo. It was planted by the Benedictine monks in 962 AD. Matt and I tasted the wines there yesterday.
